Strengthening India’s grassroots automotive skilling ecosystem by empowering the backbone of our mobility network.

ISIEINDIA Conducts Successful BS-VI Training Session Under BPCL Pragati Project
ISIEINDIA successfully conducted a one-day BS-VI technical training session on 13 November 2025 under the BPCL Pragati Project, marking an important step in strengthening India’s grassroots automotive skilling ecosystem. The program trained 30 mechanics on the latest 2W BS-VI engine systems, emission technologies, and modern diagnostic procedures.
Organized in collaboration with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), the initiative focuses on empowering roadside mechanics and service assistants who form the backbone of India’s two-wheeler mobility network. With BS-VI vehicles now the national standard, upgrading technical capabilities has become essential—precisely the gap the Pragati Project aims to address.
Technical Training & Methodology

Core Concepts
Participants were briefed on BS-VI emission control systems, fuel-injection architecture, and electronic engine management.
Practical Diagnostics
A key focus area was the use of diagnostic scanners, enabling mechanics to efficiently service modern two-wheelers and resolve faults with accuracy.
The training combined conceptual learning, live demonstrations, and practical sessions. Structured troubleshooting practices were introduced to help mechanics adapt to the increasing complexity of modern vehicles.
Impact on Livelihoods

Beyond technology, the program emphasized employability enhancement and confidence building. Many participants noted that such training significantly improves their:
- Service Quality
- Customer Trust
- Technical Confidence
- Long-term Livelihood Prospects
“Equipping mechanics who work at the core of India’s transportation network ensures that advancements in cleaner, smarter mobility reach beneficiaries at the last mile.”
A Collaborative Vision

Representatives from ISIEINDIA and ASDC highlighted the importance of delivering skilling initiatives directly to the field. This “lab-to-land” approach is crucial for an inclusive transition to greener mobility.
Program Outcomes:
- Up-skilled 30 mechanics on BS-VI norms.
- Bridged the gap between traditional skills and modern tech.
- Enhanced understanding of emission technologies.
- Strengthened the grassroots service ecosystem.
Mission: Future-Ready Workforce
The successful completion of this session reinforces the collective mission of BPCL Pragati, ASDC, and ISIEINDIA to develop a trained, future-ready workforce capable of supporting the next generation of sustainable and technologically advanced vehicles.
