As part of its ongoing mission to build a robust electric mobility ecosystem, ISIEINDIA recently organized a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop at Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune. This initiative is a significant part of ISIEINDIA’s national collaboration with EduNet Foundation, aiming to establish 16 advanced Electric Vehicle (EV) Labs across India.

Faculty members participating in ISIEINDIA’s hands-on EV Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop at Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune—learning battery systems, drivetrain assembly, and EV charging infrastructure setup.

Empowering Educators to Power the Future

The workshop was designed to equip faculty members with hands-on skills and practical understanding of core EV systems, enabling them to effectively train students in emerging electric mobility technologies. The session emphasized experiential learning and focused on the real-world application of EV systems.

Faculty members were given in-depth exposure to:

  • Battery Management Systems (BMS): Understanding the architecture, functioning, safety protocols, and troubleshooting of modern BMS used in EVs.

  • Electric Drivetrain Kits: Assembling and operating EV drivetrain components including motors, controllers, and gear systems to comprehend EV propulsion fundamentals.

  • EV Charging Infrastructure: Installing, configuring, and managing EV charging stations to understand power distribution, safety protocols, and integration with local grids.

  • Performance Monitoring & Data Analytics: Capturing performance metrics, analyzing battery health, and tracking vehicle efficiency using live monitoring tools.

 The Bigger Picture: Nationwide Upskilling

This ToT session is part of a larger movement by ISIEINDIA and EduNet Foundation to bridge the gap between academia and the EV industry. The goal is to build a scalable and skilled EV workforce by strengthening the capabilities of educators who can further mentor and train thousands of students.

By setting up EV Labs in institutions like Sinhgad College, the program is not only creating hands-on learning hubs but also fostering R&D capabilities and startup incubation opportunities in the electric mobility sector.

Driving Sustainable Growth

With India’s EV market growing at an exponential rate, there is a clear demand for professionals trained in next-gen vehicle technology. This initiative serves as a launchpad for future-ready engineers and technical experts who can lead the shift toward a cleaner, greener mobility future. As faculty participants return empowered with real-time skills and functional knowledge, ISIEINDIA takes another strong step in its mission to “Charge Careers” through real skills and industry-integrated education.
