SRMIST and ISIEINDIA Sign MOU to Establish Centre of Excellence for IoT and Embedded Systems

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has partnered with ISIEINDIA to establish a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence for IoT and Embedded Systems. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed in the presence of key representatives from both institutions, including Dr. Sridhar R, Professor & Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Dr. Narayanamoorthi R, Associate Professor, and Dr. Vijayakumar K, Dean I/C of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SRMIST. Representing ISIEINDIA were Shubhaankar Chakraborty, Director of Alliances & Partnerships, and Venkatesh Pandey, B2B Executive.
The partnership aims to develop a cutting-edge IoT and Embedded Lab at SRMIST, which will serve as a hub for innovation and skill development. This lab will provide students, researchers, and industry professionals with access to advanced tools and resources to explore IoT technologies and embedded systems. In addition to offering a Minor Degree in Electric Vehicle Technology and a Minor Degree in IoT and Embedded Systems, the collaboration will also include various certification courses, practical training, internships, and joint research projects
Scope of the Collaboration: The Centre of Excellence will focus on providing hands-on training and education in IoT and embedded technologies. Students will have the opportunity to pursue certification programs, attend practical workshops, and gain industry-relevant skills. The partnership also includes joint research initiatives, where both SRMIST and ISIEINDIA will work together on collaborative projects and publish academic research in emerging fields.
