What is the PLUGIN-UP CAEV Lab and why it is needed in Schools?

PLUGIN-UP is India’s First EV, Autonomous & Solar Innovation Lab designed for Schools, providing hands-on future mobility learning for Classes 6–12. It aligns with NEP 2020, supports experiential learning, boosts STEM outcomes, strengthens school branding, and positions the institution as a “Future Mobility School.”

Who can setup Plugin-UP CAEV Lab? Can it be customized?

Any CBSE/ICSE/State Board school with ≥300 students, 500+ sq. ft. space, and 3+ years of operation. Limited customization is allowed within academic & safety frameworks via official request to ISIEINDIA.

What civil infrastructure is required?

Furnished space (400–500 sq ft), safe power supply, AC/fans, LED lights, internet, safety gear, tables, and storage.

What will students learn?

EV technology, batteries & BMS, Motors, IoT, autonomous navigation, solar energy systems, diagnostics, and Fabrication.

How does this align with NEP 2020 and Boards?

It fulfills NEP mandates on vocational education, experiential learning, multidisciplinary exposure, and aligns with APAAR credit framework.

Are Certifications Included? Is the curriculum APAAR/credit aligned?

Yes. ASDC (Govt.) certifications are embedded and APAAR-mapped, enabling national portability of credits.

Can multiple schools jointly use a single Lab?

Yes. Joint applications are permitted subject to ASDC-ISIEINDIA approval. This should be pre-informed to ISIEINDIA and ASDC while applying for the lab.

Who will fund the Plugin-Up CAEV Lab?

The school invests 100% of the CAPEX, and once the Lab is established, ISIEINDIA and ASDC support the school in creating and running the EV ecosystem.

What does the School receive?

Complete lab hardware, installation, Training of Trainers (TOT), LMS access, Industry Aligned Courses, curricula, and certification support.

Who manages the Plugin-Up Lab? What constitute a governing body?

The school. A Principal (Chief Mentor), Lab Coordinator, two Technical Faculty Leads, Industry Connect Coordinator, and Student Ambassadors manage daily operations. The same committee could act as a governing body for the lab for compliance, monitoring and reporting.

What are the operational hours?

During all instructional hours; extendable based on school schedule, including weekends for CSR programs.

What is the implementation timeline?

Typically, 6-10 weeks including site readiness, installation, TOT, and launch.

How can other teachers use the lab?

Teachers from Science, CS, AI, EV, IoT & Vocational subjects may integrate lab modules for demonstrations, lab experiments, and real-world examples.

What annual activities are suggested to build EV Ecosystem?

Workshops, bootcamps, EV Hackathons, design-a-thons, innovation days, certified courses, CSR programs, and competitions as defined in the annual activity calendar.

Are Programs open to nearby Schools? Can fee be charged?

Yes. Schools may host open workshops/CSR programs and may charge fees under approved revenue-sharing guidelines.

How many students can be trained annually? Will this burden the timetables?

At least 150 students for ASDC modules should be targeted annually for building ecosystem + additional students via workshops. Courses are modular, NEP-aligned, and do not burden the timetable.

Will the school see ROI?

Yes, through admissions growth, branding, media visibility, workshop revenue, CSR partnerships & improved academic outcomes.

What are annual maintenance responsibilities?

There is no maintenance responsibility for the school during the first year, as it is fully covered under ISIEINDIA’s AMC plan. From the second year onward, an optional AMC is available at 5% of the total order value per year.

Can multiple industry partners join to establish lab in the School?

Yes, subject to ASDC governance and reporting requirements. A joint request from the School and the Industry Partner must be submitted to the official email ID provided in the proposal.

What do industries gain through CSR contribution?

Industry partners gain high-visibility impact, alignment with Skill India, NEP 2020, and national Green Mobility missions, along with recognition as a Future Mobility Partner. Eligible industry partners may also collaborate with ISIEINDIA on jointly sponsored project proposals to national and international funding agencies, subject to applicable guidelines.

What does the LMS include? Is it accessible?

Courses, assessments, dashboards, project guides, 2D/3D content, videos, safety manuals & national lab network. Teacher dashboards are included; parent-view access available.

What is LMS Validity? Can it be integrated with School ERP?

1-year validity; renewable annually. ERP integration not supported.

How is student data secured?

Fully secured under IT compliance and restricted-access systems.

What is the procurement process & timeline?

ISIEINDIA supplies equipment. Schools follow GFR-compliant purchase committee processes. Procurement & installation: 6-10 weeks post–purchase order.

Is hardware pre-tested? What about warranty and damage?

Yes, all equipment is pre-certified. Transit damage is replaced under warranty; misuse/modification is excluded.

Can schools request custom or additional equipment?

Yes, based on approval and availability.

How is procurement compliance documented?

Through invoices, delivery notes, installation reports, and school purchase committee records.
