200 Engineering Students Gear Up for the Future of Mobility with ISIEINDIA's EV Training Program

In a significant stride towards fostering innovation in the field of electric vehicles (EVs), the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIEINDIA) recently concluded the highly successful Batch of 200 students of certified hands-on training workshop. The workshop, part of the CSR initiative ‘Ready Engineer,’ was presented in collaboration with MASSIA and Tata Technologies. The event unfolded at the ISIEINDIA-Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicle in Maharashtra and welcomed Ready Engineer professors and students from the 2023-24 batch.

The workshop, a beacon of practical knowledge dissemination, delved into various facets of electric vehicles, aligning with the industry’s dynamic demands. Attendees were exposed to an array of topics, covering the intricacies of EV motors and drive methods, battery pack technology, and the nuances of retrofitting internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles.

A notable highlight of the event was the emphasis on practical learning. Participants were immersed in hands-on experiences, working on real-world EV components, conducting experiments, and troubleshooting problems under the expert guidance of seasoned professionals. This approach not only enhanced theoretical knowledge but also equipped attendees with the skills crucial for the evolving landscape of electric mobility.

The ISIEINDIA-Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicle, where the workshop was hosted, is a state-of-the-art facility committed to providing comprehensive training and education on all aspects of electric vehicles. The centre offers a conducive environment for research and development, facilitating a seamless transition for enthusiasts from theory to practical application.

The workshop’s curriculum not only provided theoretical insights into the core components of electric vehicles but also facilitated a deeper understanding of emerging technologies. Attendees gained invaluable knowledge on EV motors and drive methods, a critical aspect of electric vehicle propulsion systems. The exploration of battery pack technology, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS) contributed to a holistic understanding of energy storage solutions in electric vehicles.

One of the workshop’s focal points was retrofitting internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles, addressing the pressing need for skilled professionals in the EV conversion space. This hands-on segment allowed participants to engage with the challenges and solutions involved in transforming traditional vehicles into sustainable, electric alternatives.
