The National Mission for Electric Mobility has launched the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) – 2020 with an aim to invest INR 140 bn in the next 8 years for the development of electric infrastructure. The Electric Vehicle Policy 2019 was announced by the government.

The market for lithium-ion batteries in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of 34.8% during the forecast period of 2019 – 2024.
